Hahaha, I can't get into details cause it could compromise a very close friend of mine. But that was my thought on the album. You guys can have another opinion but I don't consider it a pop album... maybe alternative and waves to country? hahaha, I don't know how to describe it fully but I see what Gaga is doing here and charts are definitely not a plan for the album. Mostly because the tracks don't sound like anything she's done before (maybe "Brown Eyes" is the closest) and I believe these tracks are very distant (in sound) from all the current hit singles on Itunes and Billboard. That's why I said I don't know which criteria they'll use to choose singles.
Mess I trusted Bobby, I'm disappointed
Where is the Bobby of the C2C era and 2015?
He got her grammy, oscars, golden globes, woman of the year during a non-album era, and she has superbowl and the movie for 2017... He can make things happen.
So, I got to listen to the first 10 tracks of the album and I can say she changed her style most completely for this album. I'm not sure how everyone is going to react to this change. The album itself is good but very different. 'Hey Girl' with Florence is an amazing track, I'm in love with this one. 'Joanne' is very country-ish, like, very. Very deep too. It was a quick listen but I'm not sure what would be another single choice. I can't see this going mainstream (Nothing like what's on the radio currently) but you can pretty much enjoy this open minded.
I think the snippets are enough to judge and say that it's still Pop, but just not the Dance-pop she used to do. It's as country as Taylor Swift in my opinion.
Ok I spent like 20 minutes listening to the snippets and I've finally got an order for my most anticipated tracks.
Dancin' in Circles = John Wayne > Diamond Heart > A-YO > Hey Girl > Grigio Girls > Angel Down > Just Another Day > Joanne > Sinner's Prayer > Come to Mama
