That wig was all her idea. Grace Coddington mentions in an interview that Gaga said something about wanting to pay tribute to Anna. I say this over and over again but that hair is not proportionate to the rest of her features. I get she doesn't care if she looks 'ugly' but come on.
The shoot itself and the clothing are not bad, it's just the wig and make up that make her look terrible. I mean, why would she think she could wear a massive McQueen gown with her head looking like a tiny balloon?
I can't complain too much though, the issue was the second best selling of the year. Only Gaga.
But then I get annoyed when I look at her face and that clown make-up and wig. 
That special could have been so much more beautiful had she looked presentable. 
I still live for her Harrod's look. I also LOVED her look for her interview in Brazil (where she snapped at the cameraman) with the Chanel top, red jacket and the high ponytail. High fashion realness for the street and haute couture for the red carpets.
