I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Those aren't the most flattering photos, so maybe that's it. I'm sure the hair will slay more when she gets all done up for Ellen & the KCAs tho.

After seeing those candids, I really think this is for a movie role all the more now, and I'm kinda hoping that it is, but where will music come in?

If it's just her wanting to try new things, then I guess that's cool as well. It's good to experiment and express yourself imo, but I'm hoping that she isn't damaging her hair too much.

Her hair isn't really giving me Kylie Jenner teas anymore tho, which is a good thing. Kylie's hair was really dark at the top/the roots, and Hilary's instagram made it look dark at the top, but in the candids it's basically all the same color. The shade also looks a tad lighter than Kylie's imo.

I'm sure Ellen or the KCA red carpet interviewers will ask about the story behind the change.

OK so even though she's not wearing the best clothes to show off her new hair color, I absolutely love it!
It's different, fresh and edgy! People haven't seen her like this, ever! Not even us actually so it's a total surprise and it's good to see her change from blonde, blonde, blonde. She just needs to change her closet now, make it more bohemian rock maybe? Sort of how she used to dress like back in 2005, while she was dating Joel
She also needs to shoot a music video with this hair so we can keep a souvenir of it forever. Hilary has NEVER went this "crazy" haha, looove it!

Her saying she had sex with Joel is funny to me because I remember the many stupid articles that came out when they broke up that claimed he wasn't getting any and Hilary wanted to wait until marriage or whatever and that's why they broke up. Like I posted in the other Hilary thread about this, Aaron Carter said they swiped each other's V cards on Howard Stern. She never actually says in the Cosmo interview that Joel and her lost it to each other, just that they were sexual. The press ran with the "who did Hilary Duff lose her virginity to?" stories though. I thought the same exact thing. Talking about her underage relationship with Joel, having sex with Joel, dying her hair, the bikini selfie. I mean she mentioned having a "**** buddy" in the interview. Seems all very calculated to obtain headlines and I'm here for it.

Exactly, Hilary mentioning a **** buddy is so not like... Hilary At first I thought she was gonna deny the whole story then she went on to thank Cosmo for everything...
It's good that she's spicing things up a bit! She has been through a lot and if she wants this comeback to feel like a real one she's gonna have to up her game a bit to catch the general public's attention. I've been criticizing her a lot recently. Actually I have been for the past 7 years lol but this month I am more than satisfied with her "strategy" to come back to the scene.

ikR. if its music/movie-related she HAS TO kick her own ass hard for the promo. Make sure that single/movie gets wide recognition. The promo plan needs to be on par/better than the worldwide Elixir tour.

I honestly don't like the colour at all now that I see the candids, it just doesn't suit her. It's different that's for sure. Wonder how it looks in motion or all done up like for KCAS. We should find out in the coming days/weeks, hoping it's for a role.. most likely for the script she was reading several weeks ago.

I can't really see this as a preparation for a role, I don't know why. I think she's just having fun chaging her look a little bit, maybe for the next appearances, which I'm totally here for. I hated the color as soon as I saw the photos, but I think it will look better once she's all dolled up. I HOPE.

She's a mom now though I can't see her reason being "I got bored" there has to be a reason for this drastic of a change.

Maybe her continuing to mention mermaids is a hint hmm..
