No shade, but where have you been? Country has been making a resurgence on the charts before GaGa even made a pseudo-country track. Y&I wouldn't really be setting any trends if country REALLY takes off.
Also, "California King Bed" isn't that far off in sound from Y&I (down tempo ballad with some rock and country elements), so I don't see where Rihanna would be following a trend that GaGa allegedly started.
EDIT: I just noticed you said country-pop. But we're talking about Country music in general.

You ever heard that song called "California King Bed" by Rihanna that she performed with Jennifer Nettles at the CMAs in April of this year? I'm pretty sure Jennifer Nettles is a country artist and the CMAs are the Country Music Awards and it took place before Born This Way was even released. You tried it though. GaGa is a trendsetter, but as far as country-pop goes she hasn't set ****. By the way, isn't Taylor Swift considered to be country pop?

Since when was You and I country-pop?
It's has some slight country undertones, but it's more of a throwback rock n' roll homage imo.

Semi-serious, not really, though, lmao.
Rihanna tried with CKB and it didn't work, but Y&I is working, so...
CAP10, What I was saying about country pop is that if Y&I does blow up, you best believe the other pop girls are gonna try, too. Gaga changed things with Just Dance and Poker Face, and she could do it again with this album.
