I appreciate what she tried to do with this song. Developing her music and changing her sound. But this song doesn't work for me not because it isn't a good song because it is. But her vocal doesn't sit well with me, there is no conviction behind her singing here which you need in a song like this. Not going to lie, that her image doesn't match up with the song as well.
The only bad thing about the song is the damn cover but who the **** cares I'm so slayed I really really hope radio gets behind this but im not worried radio has been more open to less tailor made radio songs in the past year and if Earned it slayed this could too. She just needs to slay in the video
