Which Witch apparently is very typical Florence: big drums, anthemic chorus, chorale singing, but it didn't make the album, because it was "too" Florence.

This makes me so excited, you can't even imagine

Which Witch sounds awesome.
I'm most excited for Mother, it seems - based on the description - it'll sound like Lana's Cruel World meets WKOM.

I think "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful" (the actual song) has kind of reached up there with "Drumming Song" and "Rabbit Heart" as my all time favourite songs. Well, that's from listening to the snippet and live versions at least.
Which Witch is going to be epic if it's anything like what we're used to from Florence. They can't blame us for preferring their old sounds when we initially fell in love with the band because of them. Sure, HBHBHB will probably widen their scope of fans, but we can only wait and see.

I don't get the cover hate, the physical version one is awesome and the itunes one gives me some serious Drumming Song single cover vibes but b&w. I love both anyway ❤️

I don't mind the cover anymore. It's easily her worst, that's obvious, but it just sorta matches the tone of the record, I'm guessing. Stripped back, unhappy, natural.

I read on Twitter that people are mad and annoyed with Markus for "forcing her to go in a different direction." It's annoying, because: (a) you haven't heard the album, so why are you talking **** about things you don't know? And (b) do you want her to make the same album again and again, forever recycling herself? Artists are supposed to evolve, mature, adapt, and change. People saying that he forced a new sound on her are stupid and clearly have no idea what they're talking about. Especially considering Florence loves the direction that the album took, has praised Markus and his influence on her, and openly admitted she needed a push to figure out the right direction in which to go.
He's an excellent producer, nonetheless. I'm excited to see their collaboration in full.

but Florence wasn't forced to do anything, she wanted this whole new experience + she needs to grow artistically. im listening to cemeronials rn and it's one of the best albums ever but another version of it wouldnt have matched the predecessor. just when people were afraid ceremonials wouldnt be as good as lungs - florence proves them wrong.

that annoyed me too tbh, im glad he pushed her to go outside of the box and experiment more tbh. like i could see if the music was turning out bad but nothing about this is bad so i dont see how its bad that he "forced" her to change it up

I agree that the title track is truly a masterpiece. I haven't listened much to that or Third Eye because I want to save for the studio but I can tell they are both going to be favourites of mine along with Mother and Queen of Peace based on descriptions.
