I explained it every round though.
Each judge ranked you compared to your peers. So let's say you're in the final 5 with four other nondescript people and Jack!, Hug and Nait are judging you, they'd rank their entries from most favorite to least favorite like this:
Jack!
1. John Doe
2. Jane Doe
3. feelslikeadream
4. James Doe
5. Jay Doe
Hug
1. feelslikeadream
2. John Doe
3. Jane Doe
4. James Doe
5. Jay Doe
Nait Phoenix
1. John Doe
2. Jane Doe
3. James Doe
4. feelslikeadream
5. Jay Doe
To find your average, your rankings are added together (3+1+4=8) and then divided by the number of judges, which is 3 (8/3=2.67). Therefore, your final average for the round is 2.67. The lower, the better, because it means you're closer to #1. I totally adore this system but I get how it can be confusing and not beneficial to really showing how well people did.
