It's strong and useful since the 3rd gen
I remember playing Pkm Emerald, I always catch Ralts first so I can have Gardevoir later in the game. ALWAYS.
I hate Gardevoir's speaking voice 
"GaaaaaAARDEEEVOOOOooiirrr" it sounds like a murderer about to attack
