Sales wont be hurt, songs have taken 6 Weeks from Radio Release to Single Release in the UK for decades. Lady Gaga is about the only major star to stop doing it, and that kinda worked for her lead single, but it's not gonna work here with this.

Sales DO end on Sunday, so she started with a fresh week, she wont be on this weeks charting at all.
Yeah, but that was originally planned to be a normal 6 (Or so) week waiting period because of massive demand, there's nothing of the sort for Part of Me yet. What happened to Hold It Against Me when it was bumped up 5 weeks in a similar manner to We Found Love? Sunk without much of a trace. There's no guarantee that bumping it up will help the song.
Katy better watch out in Canada. Carly Rae Jepsen and Justin Bieber are supposedly releasing a duet today at 5PM.

But airplay is charted until Tuesday, so she could chart on airplay alone.
