For me it proves that Britney doesn't need other artists to produce hits. It happens all the time when some artists get another artist to appear on their song, people claim the song was only a hit because *insert artist name* appeared on the song with them. Britney is her own household brand and need no one but herself to make hits or remain relevant in today's industry....although I will say I would love a few collaborations. If I'm not mistaken Britney has only done 3/4 collaborations in her entire career (Don Phillips, Madonna, Ying Yang Twins, and KFED on his cd).

The point is that Britney could have a huge European/international AND US hit (I'm talking Sexy Bitch style chart performance). 3 was not that, Circus wasn't, Gimme More wasn't, and Piece of Me wasn't. Womanizer is certainly closest to mirroring the international chart performance of David Guetta's two genuine smashes. And that's what I want from the first single, and he has a point. David Guetta is capable of creating that kind of success. Although I do think Britney is also capable of doing that with other producers - Womanizer case in point - but Guetta is tried and true.

No, what I mean is that Guetta could have given Britney a fresh loop out of her casual repertoire. And every producers Britney has always had a varying approach of working with her and the styles are usually formulated on her terms. I doubt if Guetta will get to jump Britney in his bandwagon and follow his pattern, maybe a little but overall I think it could open a whole new dimension for both of them. I just want him and Britney together in the studio, not necessarily for first single or for a single release at all for that matter.
