I don't play as much either. Even with the nest change/increased spawn rate recent update, the game is hardly any different in my area. Still the same damn Pidgey, Rattata, Caterpie, Weedle, Zubat, Spearow, Eevee, Nidoran flops everywhere and the same gym defenders. 
Plus the weather is worsening so there isn't much reason to go walk around outside trying to collect candies and hatch eggs anymore.

Probably you have to collect special items. When you have collected enough of those, you will have chance to meet and [fight] with the legendary birds, using your 6 pokemon and a limited amount of balls.

Y'ALLLLL THE MOST TRAQUIE THING JUST HAPPENED
So before I start this story can I just add a Lapras also spawned just down my road the other day (didn't go for it cause it was like 11pm and pitch black and it had like a min left), anyway
about half hour ago I randomly check my radar app and see a blastoise is just down my road with 4 mins left so I get changed and run to it, leaving my house and screaming to my parents "IM GOING TO CATCH A POKEMON"  get to the area, see it on nearby, it pops up, escapes 3 ultra's w/ razz, and on the 4th it escaped 
other people were also around catching it and I looked so dumb so now seen: 111, caught: 110. so annoying.  At least Squirtle is the most common starter by me, and have 55 candies (already have a Wartortle). Also the CP was 1,110-ish so not the best by far, but sooo tragic!

I'm at 100 caught 105 seen  Cloyster, Onix, Charizard, Grimer and one other are missing lol
I'm close at evolving my Gloom, Weepinbell, Growlithe and Pikachu. Need 200 more candies just for Magikarp. Btw those eggs breaking are giving me so many stardusts and candies. Wİsh we got the starters out of 5 km eggs, so we were getting more candies for them. I got a perfect IVs Bulbasaur out of my egg with 596cp lol

I think they did develop this game a lot though. More will come close to the end of the year. And i'm expecting something to happen when S/M comes out.

AHHHH! My 10km egg from Disneyland was a Lapras!  So happy! The IVs are mediocre strangely enough but whatever!

Yeah they're pretty rare. The only reason I've been getting 10km eggs is cause I've been going through eggs fast from the incubators I bought.

I'm also gonna hatch a 10km egg in those 2 days lol. Its at 0.9km now. I had never anything good before. Hopefully it will be a Lapras, Snorlax or a Chansey. I want Lapras most but i would like it to be any of those. Why is Eevee in the 10km though?  To shock people?

I caught a Rhyhorn the other day. Desert pokemon don't even exist in my area so I was shocked.

Eevee is like the Ratatta of the strong pokemons, quite common but pretty useful, that's why i think it is of the pokemons of 10km as egg and 5km as buddy. I actually think there are worse pokemons of 10km when you already have it, for example pinsir, onix or scyther

My other 10km eggs were Chansey (meh I've hatched 2 already) and...another Lapras yaaaaaas!!

Of the 10k eggsclusives, I still need a Snorlax, an Aerodactyl, a Chansey, a Hitmonchan, and a Mr. Mime (fat chance of that  ). Still missing evolutions for my Kabuto, my Dragonair, and my Omanyte, though, so hatching any one of those would be lovely, too. Unfortunately, they always turn out to be Eevee, Pinsir, or Jynx.
And my 2k eggs are literally always Rattata, Pidgey, Weedle, or Caterpie. To date, I've only hatched one starter from an egg and as per its IVs were still ****.
