I apologize for my short attention span but why in the hell was "Monster" never a single? It even started to get radio airplay at one point for no reason, it would have been a huge smash.

The hell she can do no wrong, I've been annoyed and disappointed with the woman a lot, but right now she's recovering from surgery so it's better she's not releasing + some people on here are too negative, although the BTW era could've been handled a LOT better... 5 singles + a promo single in 10 months? That's alright - when she stays at #1 for several weeks and is potentially certified up to 8x Platinum by the end of the year, if the hit is big enough, they can continue to seethe that their fave is worthless in the streaming sphere.

Agreed, they were playing Monster in my country on the radio as well I think the label wanted to release Monster after Telephone but Gaga wanted Alejandro..

Blame the US radios for that.
They didn't support the singles like they should have done it for someone of her caliber, which made Interscope move to the next singles sooner than expected.
