But since the rule is quite vague they should at least deal with it as an honest mistake , if I do it again [after I know it's against the site's policy then I should be warned]

I asked in HQ if I could share a file and Lee! (I think it was lee ) said I could as long as I use a website like Dropbox etc.

The TM member didn't know either. He posted a link to a mixtape (which is given free by the artist) and got the same punishment.

You could try it, hopefully the mod that gave you the points is willing to be nicer though.
