Well that was mainly because it was a new show, they the filmed the pilot and a couple episodes in March and then went on a long break and picked back up in July.

Last season, they had to film the first two episodes for the up-fronts since it was a new show. So they filmed all their promos, their photoshoots & the first two episodes (Pilot + Hell Week) in March, then returned to filming the rest of the show in June.

Aw. I'm not a fan of Colton's acting but I love that he's been so outspoken about his anxiety and depression. I know he said it prevented him from returning to TV so I'm hoping Scream Queens is indication that he's getting better.

Obvi, the ghost scene where Chanel's in bed, #2 is wearing the same outfit she wore in the pilot when she died.
The Chanels were seen wearing their black ensembles (not for the promo shoot, but for the funeral) behind the scenes back in March, too.
And the brief flashback when #2 shoves Chanel down the stairs, Chanel is wearing that white leopard hat and sailor dress which she wears when she screams at Jennifer's candle video in the pilot.
not anymore, this new season will have the original characters and will introduce new ones, it's a sequel set 3 years after season one, but it's more like a soft reboot
