Sorry, it doesn't help that I just ripped it out of the article. But basically some journalist wrote a whole article about the inferior audio quality due to bitrate, when in reality AAC (Apple) is a better encoding scheme than MP3 (Spotify). AAC256 is widely regarded as superior to MP3 320, though in reality, the differences are negligible.

My main complaint is the laziness. This person is writing an article about both a technical and subjective topic, and they clearly did no research.
