Even though the Redford/Farrow adaptation isn't that loved either, they actually did a great job portraying Gatsby and Daisy.

I liked the Gatsby movie a lot and I loved Y&B, but the book was really amazing. I felt more when I read the book than when I watched the movie and the emotions were easier to relate to myself.
