Yeah the 8 song limit is irritating. I did 2 themes of 8 for my debut - Coming of Age & Break Up Songs. And for the 2nd album I record 3 themes - COA, BUS and Power Ballads.

When you go to record an album you put in a working title and then you select a theme. Do that. and then do it again but use the same working title. It'll just add that on to the album at the end.

how do you guys get quick money in the beginning of the game? i had my artist record 10 songs but i went broke bc producers are so expensive but she had no production skill whatsoever

Easy Way not to go bankrupt: Artist must have a 360 deal because money made from tour goes to label

You're better playing a pre-made label or make your own in the editor because cash is what really holds you back. If you go bankrupt, you're ****ed. If you want to have success, PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE! Tour if you need extra cash. Quality DOES affect sales so record everything Laissez Faire. You can record various "themes" for an album release too by using the same working title. If you do that, your album might sell through various times of the year.

If you're starting off new and scouting talent which is what I just did, find someone decent with good Songwriting capabilities. Have her write alone and have a good but cheap producer. Then just TOUR forever at small / tiny clubs until you're decently high in %. When your artist is decent, then keep promoting them. Just do NOT click "Heavy marketing campaigns" or anything remotely close if you start fresh coz you'll go bankrupt. I've done word of mouth for my buzz singles, average promo for my regular singles, and now that I have $22m after recording (I started with $10m), my 2nd album lead single will have above-average promo.

EDIT yeah forgot about 360 deal coz I just do it naturally. Yeah that too!

i also had her go on an 80 date tour but her morale went to literally like 2% is there a way to prevent that or should i just keep forcing her to tour

OMG you're worse than Dr Luke. I once did that with London (based on London Tipton) and she went down to like 13% but not that low lmao. You just have to take a break. The more you lower it, the longer it will take to get back to 100%

and you're ALWAYS better to start recording / touring at 100% because quality will be better.
