I don't even think Katy stans think Prism will outdo Teenage Dream?
Anyways, at this point, it's best to realize the music industry isn't doing too hot, and pop is becoming even more fickle. I dragged Katy for her Metacritic scores and first-week sales, so I deserve the lashings. Think that's why ATRL has gone so crazy, because so many of us monsters have put Gaga up on a pedestal as the savior of pop. But now she's not.
Nobody's really dragging Gaga. The decline is real, but they're still respectable numbers for somebody who came off a piss-poor era, a mediocrely successful single and no televised promo the week of release. Disappointing numbers, but the ARTPOP era can still easily be successful lol. It's just time to realize Gaga is no longer untouchable and will have to compete with the other pop girls. Assuming she actually cares, and I honestly don't think she does, so it doesn't really matter.
