The songs that impact the hardest are going to sell more.

I agree with you, to an extent. "Single Ladies" was outsold by "Dynamite," but which song is or will be remembered more?

gerl, I think Toxic is more remembered than Boom Boom Pow, Just Dance, Pokerface, Need You Now, and a lot more...
btw, I just pointed out Toxic because it wasn't in the digital era chart, and it had a #9 peak on Hot 100 and it's easily one of the most remembered pop songs of the 2000s

It's still remembered in the US. However, it had the misfortune of being completely overshadowed by I Gotta Feeling. But even knowing that it's never been completely forgotten.

Trust and believe BoomBoomPow will not be in a league like "At Last" , "Single Ladies" , "Respect" , "Umbrella" (one of the most covered songs in history) and a host of other songs.
Tik Tok is also for this day and age and will not stand the test of time.

Oh, and because a song got to #1 doesn't mean it will be remembered.

Haha, just look at the fact that every event I go to with a DJ, they always play Boom Boom Pow first. The song is still remembered.

No shade, but didn't you bash me for trying to predict the future? Let's wait and see what will be remembered and what won't be

I'm not sure if people won't remember "Low." It will probably be remembered as one of the biggest novelty hits of this generation, along with "Tik Tok." It seems that songs like "We R Who We R" and "Right Round" won't be remembered much for anything.

Those songs are pretty memorable and had big impact. Maybe you're forgetting about those songs because they weren't from a female popstar?
