You know, I don't know that I've ever posted it here before but the open mod apps made me think of something:
Being outright desperate for the position might not be a really good thing, honestly. However, I myself secretly really, really wanted the position before even knowing I was an option - just ask Miles.
My point in posting this is that I don't want any of you to think that wanting the position is a bad thing. It's probably not beneficial to be outwardly desperate and campaign for yourself, but if you truly want the position and it's for the right reasons, that's something we notice. I'm personally factoring in how applicants feel about ATRL - I like it when a member sees the good in the forum and would be an enthusiastic addition to the team who wants to help out. I wouldn't like to see a desperate attention seeker get the position, but someone who would be enthusiastic about the position would definitely receive a warm welcome from me. Just some thoughts!
