This tbh. I'm straight, and I still loved the BTW era. Not as much as the fame/monster eras, but still loved it. It feels as though she was trying to be idk.. Jesus throughout the BTW era, while in the TF/M eras, she didn't give two ****s. And that's how I fell in love with her.

I'm gay and when it became clear that the entire era would focus on the gays rather than just the lead single I did have a problem with it.... I loved the music/performances etc, but the message was too much. By singling all of us out as some seperate group of people that need help and guidance because they are insecure etc only makes the stigma worse.... She needs to stop that and just focus on empowering everyone

Well remember now, the BTW foundation isn't just about gays. Even on the main page their foundation isn't singling them out either. It just appears that way because naturally the term BTW has become synonymous with the gay movement. Although Hair is more of the type of song that actually fits the BTW movement, I do think that maybe this time around she should just let the empowerment come and go, instead of forcing it as an agenda.
