The VMAs were like watching Cap10's entire world collapse before us. A bunch of white people (Miley Cyrus, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake) stealing the spotlight from blacks with their own music. Then, his only white savior, Robin Thicke, performed with the girl who appropriated, parodied and somehow still elevated black trends into the best video of the year, and got completely overshadowed by her with his ****** vocals, gained nothing on iTunes, and lost every award he was nominated for. Then Katy Perry came out with boxing gloves to deliver the final blow to blacks everywhere.
Mess. Cap10 could still argue that rihanna does white music better than white people. Too bad he hates Rihanna
One giant mess. The only saving graces were Rih's facial expressions, JT/Bruno performances and GaGa's set. The performance itself wasn't mind blowing but I really enjoyed the concept of her paying tribute to her past eras. And to be honest, she's the only one that looked like she was giving it her all. It was about life and death for her (trying to get back into the good graces of the GP while maintaining her artistry) and I think she gave a valiant effort. All the rest of the performances were trash.
But still, DEATH @ Miley her unpromoted, un-hyped, rush-released, second single ZOOMING to #1 on iTunes when Gaga her rush-released, super hyped, uber-promoted lead single couldn't.
