I bought it not knowing it was the harder version, i.e. no free battles
It isn't shin megami tensei level difficulty, but everything becomes essential. deciding how to spend your money and which characters to level up. Im considering buying this one dlc mission to get some more exp/level ups.
That's a bit like the older versions. It's a different style of playing cause this way you really gotta stick to and rely on the members you invest in. Has its pros and cons tbh.
I finally beat FFX The ending was wow great! But now I started on FFX-2 and it's SO weird comapred to FFX. It feels like I'm playing a parody I kinda dig the battle system though.

FFX was the last non-MMORPG installment of the series that was flawless from start to end. FFXV better deliver.

I'm playing X-2 as well and it does feel like a parody.

I may give a try. Still fuming that the vita version was dropped
Damn that sucks.
I'm currently stuck on Digital Devil Saga in the very beginning. The game is so damn hard. I'm gonna have to get it together. I haven't played it in awhile but I need to grind a bit.
A FFX-2 event was released on Final Fantasy Record Keeper, and it just reminded me of how quirky the music for that game was.
I really love how light-hearted the game was during the first few chapters of the game. Was a nice break after the srsbzns and being under constant fear of Sin during FFX. Good thing FFXIII-2 and Lightning Returns were made, at least FFX-2 isn't regarded as the worst numbered-game sequel anymore.
