Why!? HP did WONDERS and brought all of the fans that it had out to see and support it! This film just has a bigger draw and more interest, it doesn't mean HP, and the fact that it will remain the #1 film series of all time, is less valid!
Not to mention it's seen as one of the biggest events in the history of literature

For one thing, the 3rd week is not competing with a week inflated by Thursday midnights.
That said, Avengers will face big and direct competition from Battleship, and since it appeals to everyone, also from The Dictator and What To Expect...

I cannot imagine that anyone wants to see Battleship.
