I cried when I saw she was getting an ICON award.
That's it, but that was a moment I really felt how proud I was of her and all that she had achieved.
And how we were a part of that, we help her life and she helps ours.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
'Nothing left to prove' is the worst statement anyone could ever make about any career.
If R8 is gonna be another TTT or UA she's pretty much stuck where she is now for eternity.
Where she is now is far from a bad place, but I know she can do so much better and she can grow so much.
I honestly want her to be a legend cause she deserves it but if she doesn't bring it that day will never arrive.

I like the slow and midtempo songs on UA and the uptempo ones on TTT.
If only they could be merged and be one album, those two have been feeling like one big era anyway.

Unapologetic felt different than Talk That Talk, looking back. There was more a sense of maturity & self-reflection in Unapologetic. Talk That Talk was all about being thug, edgy & street.
I got annoyed with her during TTT because I got sick of her thuglyfe thing for a while, but I've come to love it. But I was really tested when she did Birthday Cake with Chris Brown. So stupid to get mad about looking back lol. She liked to push buttons that era.
she also looked different during Unapologetic. UA has almost snatched Loud as my favorite era look-wise. So many stunning looks.

I want alternative-r&b that POPS. If that makes sense. Something that is different but at the same time insanely catchy. Songs that are deep but stay on the surface of what is easily digested by the buying public. Nothing too mainstream but at the same time fresh, edgy and different.
I wrote a song called "Deeper Deeper" about her. Its a sex song. But its RIHANNA.

I agree. I want her to surprise me though, I don't know what to expect.
I want alternative influences, but hopefully not too much. She sets trends, not follows (ie Stay).

I definitely don't want it to be too mainstream. She's past that point. No more Right Nows or Roc Me Outs that are just there to be safe. There can be smashes that are behemoths without being generic, which she's done many times.
Obviously, she should totally stop with dancepop. For a couple years, dance pop is out the door for her & anyone.
