It's because she herself is an ignorant child.

I would've gone easier on her if she didn't run her mouth saying this album will be monumental for hip hop and that it will change lives, Lady Gaga style. The same way I went from loving Gaga to being disgusted by her revolting narcissism.

Why didn't Nicki follow through with her promises? Why isn't this album the most important hip hop album in years? Why isn't the quality up to par? Why does she keep working with Dr. Rape if she really doesn't need Top 40 to sustain her slowly dying career?

But the worst notion of it all must be that Nicki herself doesn't care. She'll sell as much as she'll sell first week, get that #1 on Billboard 200 and continue to gloat and suck her own dick until Album 3, The Pinkeye is released a year and a half from now.

I, myself, will continue to berate her until I see an improvement over this mess.

Do you know how ridiculous you sound. You are a GROWN MAN letting an ARTIST have this much autonomy over you.
In answer to your question, her album WILL transform people's lives...most notably her fans and those who were on the fence (like me) but firmly in her camp.
Is it the most important hip-hop album in years? Yes, from a Female POV. She is, in her own way, breaking down boundaries briefly opened by Missy, Kim, Foxy. Without Nicki, Azealia, Iggy wouldn't even be an afterthought. SHE made it possible for them and that's why no matter what she sells in her career from this date forward, she will ALWAYS be known as that.
*Improvement* is purely subjective. I can see progression from Beam Me Up to now. Clearly you have much higher standards or unreasonable standards but from where i'm standing, i think she's done an incredible job. She's built an empire...in 4 years.
Do you understand what an achievement that is. While being Female. And Black.
