In what has become a familiar scene for “X Factor” U.K. boy band One Direction, the group had to take safety precautions to avoid getting mobbed by hundreds fans who were waiting for One Direction at an airport. This time, it was at Tampa International Airport in Florida on September 1, 2012. One Direction took a private plane. Meanwhile, One Direction is kicking off the group’s publicity blitz for One Direction’s second album, “Take Me Home,” with an return appearance on Channel 4’s”Alan Carr: Chatty Man” on September 14, 2012.
One Direction’s

tweeted about the expected mob scene in Tampa:
“Guys we’re sorry we cannot come through the main terminal of the airport, the police are not allowing it for safety! Love u.”
Tampa International Airport also tweeted this warning:
“@onedirection will be at Tampa international airport in 28 min but they won’t be meeting fans or taking pix with them.”
One Direction was in Tampa for a connecting flight to Los Angeles, where the group will be doing several promotional appearances, including performing at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards at the Staples Center on September 6, 2012. One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” is nominated for two awards at the show: Best Pop Video and Best New Artist. Winners are chosen by voting at MTV.com. “Get ready @LAX_Official. You’re next for the @onedirection madness!”
One Direction’s Harry Styles, 18, might need to get plenty of sleep on the plane flights because once again he had a late night out partying. He was seen in the early-morning hours of September 1 at the Rose Club in London, where he was with his best friend Nick Grimshaw, 28, who was DJ’ing at the club that night.
