Since the law doesn't work around here (because we don't have one) and that kind of a message shows up I'll laugh my head off! Mostly because 15-18 year-olds are hacking the ministries databases, spreading jokes

Hey I thought this was really interesting when I was looking at Taylor Swift's instagram XD
So anyways my mom's family live on the border of SoHo and Chinatown, and my grandparents own a building and a laundry mat right next to a pizza place. Anyways this Pizza place has artwork on the wall, and when my mom and I went to the city to go see OneRepublic, I noticed that on the wall was two big pairs of drawn wings where someone can take pictures while they stand in the middle. I saw a few people do it themselves so I thought it was a cute idea. Anyways Taylor Swift was actually literally like 20-30 steps away from my family's apartment and took the picture there :O
I just find it really cool that I pass by this spot all the time when I'm in the city XD Next time I go I will take a picture if its still there haha

A part of me hopes the Nov. 24 thing is true. It's what I first suggested for those Black Friday sales (  ) but just because it would be so entertaining to see her deny One Direction a number 1 album and piss their fans off.

OMG! That's so cool! If you ever see Taylor, you have to get her autograph for me and my sister! We love her! I know some of the Daydreamers aren't fond of her but I've been a fan of Taylor since her very first single and I think she's just the most wonderful person ever, and I really love all of her music. She will always have a very special place in my heart.

OMG.... I would DIE if it was! It would piss my friend off so much, though. She's a One Direction fan and we agreed not to judge each other's faves anymore because she likes Adele but thinks her music is overplayed and I hate One Direction (I can't believe I actually bought "What Makes You Beautiful" on iTunes a few years ago....), so... It would probably ruin that whole agreement because I'd rub it in her face that Adele beat out One Direction. I don't know... I guess it's better than Justin Bieber, though. Regardless, I think it'd be really funny and stupid on Columbia's part for them to have two of their biggest artists release on the same day. I mean... Why don't we release something by Bey too just for the hell of it and see who dominates? I can't imagine any label would be stupid enough to do that but I'd love to piss off the Directioners when Adele gets that #1 spot. I feel sorry for the One Direction fans that think One Direction can actually beat out Adele for that #1 spot, though.

Seeing as how 1D's best is about 600k in the US, they wouldn't stand a chance, especially since they're on the decline.
Adele has a 1 million + debut on lock, ESPECIALLY if she goes for Black Friday sales. No way will One Direction do that.
Plus it looks like we are getting a traditional album release so I imagine she'll do a little promo for the album as well.
edit: And it's smart of Columbia to have them both release. Columbia will be raking in the cash that week.

Definitely. I think people overestimate their ability to sell records because they have a larger fan base, whereas Adele has pretty much the entire general public. One Direction has one demographic they appeal to, whereas Adele pretty much appeals to everyone.
You're 100% right. And I'm glad we are getting a traditional album release. I think XL was very pleased with the 21 Days of Adele campaign because it was extremely successful and a lot of people praised it because it promoted the album well without overdoing it. Hopefully they'll do something like that again.
And I don't know. In doing so they have to understand that only one of them is going to get the number-one spot on the charts and I don't know if that's something Columbia wants to jeopardize, although I don't think they have a choice. XL is Adele's main label and they've pretty much given her full control of her album and when it comes out, and when she decides to release it, that's when it's getting released. Albums often have different release dates depending on the country but XL and Columbia can't afford to release the album more than a day or two apart in their respective countries, so... Columbia pretty much has to take what it's given too. XL and Columbia want this album out as soon as possible, so I think as soon as it's done they're going to do whatever they can to get it out and make sure it's super successful.

I just realized something.... In honor of XL's 25th anniversary, they're releasing that compilation album on August 25 that features "Rolling in the Deep" as the closing track (and a video of "Someone Like You" live from the BRITs is featured on a deluxe version, I think). What if XL makes an announcement about 25 then?  I doubt it, but it's possible!
