Like.. and I'm not talking about regular passing. 'Cause Wentworth could pass, but it isn't absolutely shocking to hear that he's mixed.
Ex.
Halsey can't even remotely pass. And her "dad" is an Uncle Tom and she was raised in the 'burbs. She can't even identify with blackness. Pls. The one drop rule is dumb and Americans have been trained to believe it. No one is 100% anything, so going by that we can all completely disregard our cultures and physical appearance, and claim another "race".
I'm always so confused with how the US and their racial stuff work, like for example, Mariah is obviously white and yet some people call her black, I know she has black roots but she is as white as a white person comes (like, the color of her skin).
Anyways, non obsessed with race cultures >>>>>>>>>

So what?
Is Mariah not black because some people think she looks white?
All of that is subjective anyway.

Black people come in literally all skin tones and colors
This is actually really good for her standards, and she hasn't performed it on TV yet (I think). Weird how she was able to transition to the U.S. market so easily, yet Jester J was just given a giant turd by everyone from Billboard to the iHeartRadio Music Awards and sent back.
That's not how it works. They are just as much black as they are white
If they have a black grandmother, black aunties and cousins, black family at the family reunions, were raised in a household with black culture etc. How can you say they aren't black?
Black people alone are so diverse and have such a wide range of looks, complexions, etc. as it is
Well i understand that but they're still not black. They are biracials but not black.
I say this by experience i have siblings who are biracial and can easily pass as white and since they dont know the experience of being black i dont considere them black.
Black culture isn't a notion that existS in my vocabulary. I don't know what that mean tbh so to me being black has nothing to do with any culture. Its just the way someone looks.
