I actually haven't heard of that movie until now Is it good?
And I KNOW!! MLP a GODDESS, so f'cking beautiful. And a great actress too
Ok sorry this is OT, but Red is like the surprise smash hit of the Fall! If you love MLP, you must see it.
It has the most amazing cast: Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, Mary Louise Parker.
Everyone said it would flop because no one wants to see "old people" in an action movie, but then it got good reviews and has turned into a big hit. It opened to 20M and has been holding on amazingly, with 80M so far and still going strong.

Damn
I'm gonna watch the trailer now. But I sure have to see it when it comes out in Portugal. I love action movies and I love MLP, so it's quite perfect for me
Christina Aguilera and Cher Shine on 'Burlesque' Soundtrack
Director Steven Antin's new movie musical "Burlesque"-- in which Christina Aguilera stars as a young Hollywood hopeful looking to impress a nightclub impresario played by Cher -- arrives in theaters Nov. 24. But RCA Music Group senior VP of marketing and artist development Scott Seviour says record buyers may think of a different holiday when the film's soundtrack is released Nov. 22.
"To get a new song from someone like Cher that's as fresh as 'You Haven't Seen the Last of Me' -- that's like Christmas morning to her fans," he says.
A Diane Warren-penned power ballad, "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me," is joined on the 10-track set by another Cher number, "Welcome to Burlesque," as well as eight new Aguilera cuts, including covers of two Etta James songs the singer says she "grew up singing all alone in my bedroom with the door closed." Among the writers and producers featured on the album are Tricky Stewart, Ron Fair, Linda Perry and Aguilera herself.
"I wrote synopses of what the songs should be about before anyone else came onboard," says Antin, whose sister Robin founded the original Pussycat Dolls dance troupe (with whom Aguilera has performed). "That's how I sold the movie." Once the film was in production, Antin and music supervisor Buck Damon solicited songwriting submissions from "some really, really impressive people," Antin says. "Christina said to me, 'Can I try?' and I said, 'Sure, throw your hat in the ring. The best song wins.' She was down for it."
Christina Aguilera Plays a 'Good Girl' in New 'Burlesque' Clip
Aguilera says that in her selections she wanted to combine the throwback vibe of her 2006 "Back to Basics" set with modern-day sounds: "Big bottom-end bass in the beat, then old-school horn pops -- things like that." She singles out as a favorite "Bound to You," which she co-wrote with Sia Furler, who also contributed to Aguilera's "Bionic" from earlier this year.
Sales of that album have fallen well short of the numbers notched by Aguilera's earlier releases; according to Nielsen SoundScan, "Bionic" has sold 250,000 copies, compared with 1.7 million of "Back to Basics." A canceled summer tour fueled further chatter about the project's lukewarm reception. Seviour insists that calling off the tour was unavoidable given the movie's demanding promotional schedule. "It's not like the music industry, where the talent comes out two weeks before the album," he says. "They started at the end of July.
"Burlesque," he adds, "ideally gives us the opportunity to remarket 'Bionic.' "
Though RCA hasn't serviced a soundtrack single to radio, Ryan Seacrest premiered the track "Express" on his website on Nov. 3, and Seviour says the label will revisit the idea of a single after the movie opens. Cher appeared on "Late Show With David Letterman" on Nov. 11, while Seviour says Aguilera is scheduled to perform material from the soundtrack Nov. 21 at the American Music Awards and Nov. 23 on the season finale of "Dancing With the Stars."
"I knew going into 'Burlesque' that it would intertwine with 'Bionic,' " Aguilera says. "But I also knew that I'd get to a point where regardless of what was happening with my record I'd have to turn my attention to the movie." She laughs. "I've basically put everything in my life on hold for the movie."
Yes! It's not going to win any Oscars, but it's a fun time at the movies. I'm glad it's a hit, it shows that people don't only want to see "young, sexy" actors onscreen. I wasn't expecting MLP to have so much screen time. And Helen Mirren is so kick ass ("I kill people, dear" ), The Queen indeed.
There's some serious girl power on my show tmrw...talking to @Pink, @Cher, & Christina Aguilera. If @BritneySpears wants in too, that's cool about 1 hour ago reply

Oh I remember when you had this avatar of her with a gun (I think it was her)... and btw, the trailer is awesome! I sure will see the movie. The cast is great

She already was Her little conversation with P!nk was quite... hmm... funny and awkward to hear
So last night I fell asleep with the tv on E! network. Either they aired something about Christina and I "heard" it while I was sleeping,or I had a crazy ass Christina dream.
It was an awards show, and they were showing the long trailer for Burlesque. It kept cutting back to Christina, who was crying from joy. Then Cher got onstage and commended her for all the work she's done in the past dozen years. She was sitting next to Katy Perry, who was hugging her. They showed a montage of all the stuff she's done, and then she was given an award.
Cher has the look and Aguilera has the voice in Burlesque, Antin's glitzy, dazzling, delierately cliche and intentionally campy musical, a guilty pleasure par excellence.

Okay.....no more tv before bed.
Well, that dream was great. But @ the idea of Katy hugging Christina.
The Diva Whisperer After 30 years in the film industry, Steven Antin graduates to the big leagues with the
splashy Cher–Christina Aguilera musical, Burlesque.
By Ari Karpel
Steven Antin has just breezed in, sunglasses on. He’s barely sat down and he’s waving to
some folks the next table over. “This is totally high school,” he says. “I’ve been on the lot for
several years. You see the same people every day.”
It’s a little more than a month before the release of Antin’s feature directorial debut, Burlesque.
He is still deep in postproduction, but he has stepped away for a quick meal in the dining room
on the Sony Pictures lot in Culver City, Calif. “I’m about to graduate—I hope!” he says, adding, “On November 24, when the movie opens.”
Whether Antin “graduates” or not hinges on how people react to his movie, an original musical
that marks both the big-screen acting debut of Christina Aguilera and the long-awaited return of
Cher. At this point, though, it’s hard to say whether Burlesque will be the next Chicago—or the
next Showgirls.
No matter what it will be (at press time, all the studio had made available for review was a
dazzling 40-minute clip reel of musical numbers), one thing is for sure: Burlesque is the gayest
movie of the year, and not just because it’s a musical starring Cher and Xtina.
If Sony Pictures is high school, then Screen Gems—the Sony specialty films division that
nurtured the development of Burlesque and will launch it in wide release before Thanksgiving—
is the glee club. “We’ve all been to Palm Springs for the weekend, sitting at the
same pool,” says Clint Culpepper, president of Screen Gems, of his personal and working
relationships with the team he put together for the film, starting with writer-director Antin,
producer Donald De Line, and costume designer Michael Kaplan. “We all grew up watching
musicals, so for all of us to work together was kind of like, ‘Hey, let’s take these two icons and
make a really fun musical!’ ”
The whole thing wouldn’t have happened without Culpepper’s guiding hand. Recalls Antin: “For several years, Clint said, ‘Will you sit down and write this ****ing movie already? I know
this movie’s in you. Just write it. If you write it, I’ll make the movie.’ ”
