I wrote two new songs, and you're honestly gonna think I'm bipolar.

One is about how I'm still happy about the memories I shared with my ex, and how the future is bright. Then the other one is me miserable claiming how much I hate my ex and how I dread him for dumping me.

Basically one song is reminiscent of 'Do You Think About Me', whereas the second song is more of a 'Haunted' by Taylor Swift.

It was weird, I was uploading the songs to my folder on my Mac today and I was documenting all the songs I wrote about being 'in love' with my ex and now all the songs are just depressing.

Honestly all I've been writing about lately is love. It's been occupying my mind and I feel like there's so many different emotions/perspectives I want to get down on paper but I don't want all my songs to be about love, even though love songs come easiest to me.

Maybe for me it's because I need life to happen before I can write about stuff. I can write about tragedies in my life, but I can't just be like "I'm gonna write a song about partying and feeling good" it's like unnatural to me.

ooooo, I could be proven wrong, but I doubt it will. the sales seem so low for making the top 5 of the hot country songs. Maybe CMA fest will give it a boost to go to that top 5

Understandable. Most songs i hear deal with that (I mean for God sake look who I listen to).

And you're exactly right, for stuff like that, life does need to happen to tell the stories. Some songs like the whole party thing can come natural to some, not all. I can't write party **** for ****.
