I agree that Vision of Love is better than anything on Emotions. However, no other track on the debut is as great as Make It Happen, Emotions or If It's Over Emotions is the real Mariah, whereas the debut is a product of compromising. Someday could've been FUNKY. Emotions is the better album overall, although there are few things on the debut that are blander than So Blessed.

There's so much SOUL, GOSPEL and PASSION on this album. The Wind is probably the most moody song in her discography. Debut could never, bar Vision of Love and Vanishing.
Emotions is her strongest album vocally and is flawless from start to finish.

I WILL tell him eventually and have no regrets, and I have you guys to thank Obviously I want something more, but that's just how it goes.
