Work was so massive by the time of the BRIT awards that performing anything else would've seemed dumb. I can't help thinking what might've been in terms of album sells if she had gone for a ballad instead.

As we have seen over the years though, all it takes is one performance from Rihanna (Stay, WFL) to get her back to the top of the game.
