That doesn't make October out of the question though. You make it seem as if they release in October its all over, when it wouldn't be. Adele doesn't need the traditional 2-3 month wait from lead single to album, it can be released with a month gap and it would be good enough, which is why October, IMO, is very possible

Adele always waited two months between the lead single and the album. Not less or more than it. And no, the probability of her releasing the lead single in October is near by zero.

Hometown Glory was actually released 3 months before 19 so...
It's on the other side of the the Grammys cutoff (September 30), allows for an album release before the holidays (December), and is the month we've kept returning to over and over again after all of these rumors. And, as a side note, she now probably has a fondness for the month considering her son's birthday is within it. She could very well want to drop it exactly on the 19th.

The single release wouldn't actually have anything to do with him, though; he wouldn't be on the single cover or anything like that. No privacy loss risks, his birthday already shows up in Wikipedia anyway. It's just a sort of "lucky" day for her.

It's a much different situation this time around. This album is one of the most anticipated of all time. If she waits too long between the single and the album, it'll kill the anticipation. Long, drawn out pre-release campaigns (especially from already established artists) don't do an album any favor.

There will be a lot of hype when she releases the single and if they wait two months, they hype will die.
