LOL @ them playing family portrait when linda wasn't even involved in it as a producer they could've played all the other countless raw songs. it woulda been nice to hear the story of eventually again.
The truth is, I enjoy most of the tracks on TTAL, well, all of them except Here Comes The Weekend, I loathe that one but there are moments when I get into it. It's just that feeling is missing for me - that feeling when you listen to a Pink album. The album itself is great, but it gets lost in Pinks discography (its just there ). I don't really use the songs except one or two, and it's been only 2 years.

exactly. the album got old waaay too quickly. i just wasn't really interested in it after a couple of months and almost all her previous work, i still find something new in every song. here it's just very much by the numbers and totally fails to dare. it has good songs, but i think it's my least favorite pink album tbh.
this is when i REALLY felt like what linda said: all these albums are d-tours and she'll get to the real record in a while when she's got all this out of her system.
I think Linda is not right with that. TTAL is the real Alecia, just the fun/poppy/light side of her. I think she's not born to be a rocker and she's not the second Janis Joplin. She's the mystery box of the music scene who always talks and sings what's on her mind, and that's honesty will always keep her interesting. She might have a miss here and there but we know she always changes. Let me say it here, Funhouse and TTAL is not completely similar musically as a whole, while both albums are pop, the production makes the difference. It seems she was heading more and more towards the mainstream pop field but I can tell she has never replicate herself with her albums. Songs, yes, but not with a whole album experience. That's why I don't think we're getting another TTAL - she can't make it more poppy, so it's gonna be only better from here.
i have mixed feelings about linda, i think that deep down she regrets working with christina but doesn't want do admit it. what she had with alecia was real friendship, real connection. or at least i get that from "little does alecia know that i think her all the time...".
