I doubt they're gonna give the Grammy to Nick Jonas, Carly or Selena though. There's just too much at stake. Giving Selena a Grammy would make them look like a total joke (I love Selena but let's be real). Meghan most likely won't win anything either, considering her controversial lyrics.

Florence has a huge chance of winning though. Let's hope she doesn't go into Pop.

Ceremonials was in pop, and it was more alt influenced imo. Kelly's not getting in this year—poor sales and no smash. Don't see it for Madonna, either.

If Robin Thicke was nominated thanks to his one smash, I don't think Ronson can be ruled out.

Don't be silly. Not only do adults love Taylor (who do you think wrote all of those glowing reviews?), but the voters are all adults who were positively affected by Her letter to Apple sticking up for artists' rights.

The real question is whether or not country field voters will support Her in the general categories this time around.

He hasn't really broken the US yet, has he? So I'm not sure he could really be nominated. Amy, Adele, Florence, Sam weren't nominated until they were 'known' in the country.

Selena's missing the cut off date, so nevermind her. After seeing Ariana and Miley nominated, though, I can't completely rule Nick out. Meghan is not controversial, and it wouldn't really matter if she was.

Carly is not competition. This is a myth that a small faction of critics and a band of ATRLers have perpetuated. And Selena won't be eligible the same year as Taylor, anyways.

Genre album category voters seem to love repeating winners anyway:
Tony Bennett has won traditional pop 12x in 25 years.
In rap, Em has 6 and Kanye has 4, of the 16 winners 2000+.
In rock this century, Foo Fighters won 4x, U2 and Green Day twice each.

Not as prevalent, but still, in pop vocal, Kelly won a 2nd time with much less impact than 1989.
And Taylor hasn't actually been entered only in pop yet, so they wouldn't even be repeating with Her.

Ariana getting nominated didn't surprise me at all. Miley, though, did. Her nomination was kinda random and.. just plain weird. Though now that you mentioned it, Nick could be some sort of wildcard, who knows. And Meghan is controversial in the sense of it's singles, AATB and Dear Future Husband. I feel like the Grammys would get a ton of backlash if they were to award her with a Grammy, or even nominate her album. I feel like it's too risky for them, who knows.

I'm actually a little mad that Florence keeps losing her nominations. She deserves it sooooo bad. I don't get the Grammys sometimes.

But I'm really hoping that 1989 will sweep this year. If she doesn't win at least 3 Grammys I'm gonna be mad. It honestly wouldn't make sense.
