They're sponsoring her tour, that's separate from the promotional campaign I think.
That 50 million besides Bey's check is designed for her promotion, they want to
invest in her "brand" they said specifically. They're building her up into be an even bigger star.
Like a person who invests money in the stock market to hopefully see a return, they said they want to make this her most global era yet. They basically want Bey as "The Face" of Pepsi. They will see a return on that tour, for sure as well as the results of the actual endorsements. They'll get a percentage of her tour, the larger her next era the larger the tour = more money for Pepsi. They're working as an intermediate to her record label.
There is an article that suggests what kind of ideas they're storming up; there will be some creative promotion for sure.
