I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I don't think that timeline is unrealistic.
She'd have the typical recovery time post-surgery, and considering she's already walking it doesn't appear like she'll need longer, plus considering the tour was cancelled she'll have had more time to finish the album than she would've otherwise. Only drawback there is that the producers were no longer with her, but you never know.
Not to mention...music video aside (which may not even have choreography for her), she won't need to push herself physically till the VMAs...which gives double the recovery time.
Then there's the Tony album. Whether that's coming in time for Christmas or early 2014, surely they wouldn't want it to tread on the toes of ARTPOP...so releasing that any time after September seems dodgy. Plus, if they're recording it in summer...would they not want to do it post-launching the ARTPOP lead and pre-album launch? I would have thought she'd be crazy busy pre-lead single getting the video edited and finalising the album (I'd imagine they'd want ARTPOP done a few months before release).
