I like the whole laid back thing she has going on but she still needs to bring it every once in a while. She's too young to just stand there I'm not expecting choreo or anything. Just a big entrance, a memorable look and good stage production.

the fact that this song didn't become a hit makes it more gratifying, weirdly enough

i don't tend to agree with a lot of what is reglated / what is deemed worthy of/for radio success, so the fact that this song with all its inherent hit potential didn't click with 'the masses' makes it more special for the people who do truly appreciate it

idk, im 💯 w/ it being a deep cut gem in Rih's discography

Why do you do this to yourself? There's no rihmix and the drop is absolutely natural. Pop radio is way too crowded right now, so they were bound to drop the song, since it has no buzz, it's not being picked up by any other formats and there's the Calvin song peaking up steam instead. We all adore KIB, but now that it's almost dead and burried, it's time to get realistic.

What is wrong with just singing? I could see if she can't get any top singles. Her discography is her strong point. I just want her to sound like her records. If I want to see dancers, hire the best backup dancers. With Rihanna, I want her to sing the hell out of what she has out there.

I know she won't do choreo and I don't want her to. KIB is not that type of song. I just want an actual production, something impressive. For 2 reasons. One, because this is only her second televised performance of the era and I want to get something extra special. I don't want her to just do the same thing she does on tour. And two, because I still have some hope that KIB can take off after the performance, but that can only happen if the performance is an event.

The BBHMM performance at the iHeart's is a good example. It was very Rihanna but in an eventful, memorable way.

Oh well, I hope it can thrive in the UK. What a shame to let this masterpiece flop, though.
I was rooting for her performing it on Sunday but this can't be saved now that radio is dropping it, so NM/TIWYCF would be ideal.
