Johnald ... why was Jack (danitykanelover) banned? Was it for personal reasons or did he do something against ATRL rules?
Blatant disrespect against moderators, fighting in threads beyond NHB, extreme annoyance, and people obviously don't like him. We're better off without him.
I thought the smart thing to do was to not go in that thread ever again. That's what I did and I'm not in trouble. We are definitely better off without danitykanelover.
Why would you permanently him? It's not like he was a racist or sexist or something terrible like that. Not to mention I have seen some racist comments from a specific member, but I won't name names. I wasn't around for that, so I have no idea what the story is behind it. I'll ask and let you know.
Personal insults over somebody's physical appearance = off limits. Doesn't matter if they're a mod. That should be common decency, especially if the other person has never posted a picture of themselves. I know a few overweight people in the PYP thread who wouldn't have much of a problem with this decision. For someone who claims to have friends outside of the Internet, he certainly seems to have some issues with himself and others who are different than him. But it will be reduced to a month as long as he can control himself. As for the racist comments, I'm not the one quick enough to ban XTIAN these days, but I did ban him for at least 6 months over that sort of thing more than a year ago; JGibson was banned for 2 years due to racist comments -- perma-bans and bans that last 1 or 2 years don't always stay the same. Actually most of the racist comments come from newly registered members or duplicate accounts, and they are almost always permanently banned.
Well, yeah, i have to say that the "Ehh.." post was unnecessary and kinda insulting.
But is it really ban worthy?
Like Brandon said, ATRL is filled with members like that, and they just got warning for that.
If jack was banned because of that, i'm afraid half of Atrl member would be banned for the same reason.
Maybe he took the game too far, but woah, perma ban is def too much, i think.
I def respect Mods action about him, i just hope the Mod was not biased about personal reasons.
Relax... so many other mods in the past would have banned him for something a lot less serious. I've suddenly been the "corrupt biased mod abusing his power" ever since Gerry and Kworb resigned last year. They were actually a lot more strict. But I still love them!
And, of course, you should think about forums such as GameFAQs.
Johnald you might/shout be getting your apology soon. We'll see what happens with that.
I'm just trying to make sure that someone isn't permanently banned for something that isn't that serious. The only person that I have seen on this forum that deserves that was crossfaderocks and we all know why.
