I'm pretty sure we going to have two singles before the actual album release. And that would be amazing. Cause 2 brand new songs before the album = 2 #1s in the USA and more #1s internationally, we worry about US cause it's the only chart she doesn't have a very good performance. Hopefully they are gonna have these steps!

That would be cool. Didn't they want to do that with 'Circus' too? But then 'Womanizers' chart run was quite good so they decided not to kill the momentum.
New song in April, single #2 in June (assuming the first song is a smash) album in mid July/August.

Don't artists release two singles if one of them flops?

^ No. It's a good strategy to guarantee two big hit singles, cause if second single is released during album release or after it will be killed by the album momentum (like "Circus" was).. "Circus" spent two weeks at #1 on Digital chart and peaked at #3 on Hot 100, if it wasn't for the album being released the same week, it would have gathered a lot more digital sales and possibly even going #1...
Releasing two singles before album = Two BRAND new songs keeping people asking for more = More #1s...

Circus was good for me. I did not purchase it, but I liked the single choices a lot. I really wanted If you Seek Amy to do better, but it WAS still a Top 20 hit in the USA I believe. But Radar...faaaaaiiiiiiilllll...
While I was looking at the tweet from KP...does anyone happen to know when she is supposed to release ANYTHING new? Its been almost TWO YEEARRSs.

Here's an article by Entertainment Weekly defending Britney in the debacle that was caused by $$$:
http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/03/22/ke...ritney-spears/
[only parts where Britney was mentioned are posted here...]
...Now, she’s done the unthinkable: The singer publicly criticized the grand dame of pop music, Britney Spears, and Canada’s cutest export, 16-year-old Justin Bieber.
As for Britney? Well, seems Ke$ha was featured on a leaked track that contained the lyrics: “In ten years, Britney Spears…Britney who?”
And this wasn’t the only time Ke$ha came under fire for badmouthing Britney — Ke$ha also made some questionable comments about Spears earlier this month when speaking to Scotland’s Daily Record about her tendency to lip-sync at concerts: “I don’t think that’s fair at all for people who are going to see the show. I think if you are going to be a singer, you should sing. If you are going to be a dancer, you should dance. If you are going to do a combination of the two, you should make it very clear when you are singing and very clear when you are dancing. I would never do that to my fans,” she said. Easy Ke$ha. You may think that you’re a better live performer than Britney, but this lady wrote the book on pop stardom — how to make a hit, create a scandal, hit rock bottom, and orchestrate a successful comeback.

But that's ok, she's been having massive singles 3 years in a row, Gimme More, Womanizer, Circus and 3 were all Top 3 hits and #1 selling songs.

Gimme More, Piece Of Me and Womanizer were decent-sized hits. They just didn't hit #1.

Circus wasnt a small hit, it was big hit in aermica, with more airplay it would of hit number one!
With promo we all know every britney song this era bar radar, would of been huge smashes, Womanzier allready was.

I think this era they know they need to step their game up (meaning britney's whole team), videos, promo, performances, the works. Now that Britney has got her spot back in the game, she can now really transcend again. They know she can score easy hits now, but its time for more effort on their part. Britney's in a better place now, although the conservatorship remains to dampen her true freedom (which we all dont know the whole story, so i remain indifferent with my opinions). I do think with this album, it is her own that she wants, Circus was great, but i felt Jive and Larry micromanaged the whole project and directed it a certain way. All these rumors and sources saying shes with Danja and such, and about it being similar to Blackout, seem to me like Britney's ideas, she loves Blackout (obviously, half the tour's songs were Blackout..), all seems to be going in the right direction. With the right songs, the right look, and the right promo, this era could truly be a shining moment in her career. Everything is laid out for her, now its just how they execute it.
Im excited to see what Britney has stirred up for us this time.

I just don't like UK snobbing her... her last big **** there was "In The Zone", that gave her 2 #1s in the singles charts there.... Same goes for some other European countries, if you see all her singles went Top ten in the European Hot 100 and since "Gimme More", she's been having her lowest peaking singles in Europe....

^ womanzier hit was a big hit in europe, because she promod it. Its not like america, in europe she needs to do a bit of promo to score that hit, only a little.
