I think battles themselves are fine, it's the overworld gameplay that gets a bit repetitive.

I think making them TMs helps to fix that problem. Like what they did with Rock Smash and Flash.

I think the gameplay has improved quite a bit between Gen 5 and 6. Any huge changes would have to be for a game relegated to the Wii/Wii U. Like if you want battles like in the anime, that's only going to happen on a console platform.

This is very much needed. The AI can be so dumb at times . I would love it if they brought back the VS Seeker. Never knew why they got rid of it.

nn I don't really care for legendaries at all so GF can do whatever they want with them. If they could make some good stories like they did with Gen 3 and 5 for the villains that would be great. So far Team Flare seems lame as ****.

I really just want Gamefreak to explore a more open world game and give more areas to explore. Take away the linearity from it. Add in things like side quest, big explorable areas and all that jazz. Give players the feeling of adventure.

I think with the improvement of the mechanics and the use of the 3D landscape, GF will be wroking towards that but I wouldn't expect for another few gens honestly.

I think it would be cool if the opposing team doesn't just disappear after the big finale around badge 7/8. Surely they can continue their arc with something else post-game.

Or if you could like be a gym leader yourself.

Vileplume was the most useless member of the team, but that's mostly because she don't have many good match-ups against the E4 or Lance, the poor thing, but she did help out at times. Steelix pretty much carried the whole team against Lance, beating down 4 of his mons, while Lanturn took down the other 2 (Charizard and Gyarados). Kings!
Missy almost swept Will her whole team. And I had trouble with Machamp, Houndoom, Umbreon and Muk, but other than that they were fine.

I'm excited for Kanto now!

Just had an online random rotation battle with some German guy.

I had Espeon, Raichu, Salamence, and Swampert.
He had Darkrai, Yveltal, Xerneas, and Zygarde.

He tried to use Dark Void, but my Espeon has Magic Bounce ability, so it bounced back and hit his Darkrai instead, and then I used Dazzling Gleam on it a couple of times, knocking it out. He then sent out Zygarde, and I rotated to Salamence, mega-evolved it, and made it use Draco Meteor, knocking out Zygarde. He then rotated to Yveltal, who he made use Sucker Punch on my Raichu. It knocked me down to 13HP, and Raichu used Thunder, paralyzingly Yveltal and doing significant damage. Taichung got to go first the second time, using Thunderbolt, fainting his Yveltal.

He had Xerneas left. It went back and forth with my Espeon, Moonblast-Psychic-Moonblast-Psychic, eventually knocking Espeon out. Swampert was sent out to replace Espeon, who fainted. I finished off by rotating to Raichu and using Thunderbolt, defeating his ass.

Talent always wins.

Gen 4 Water-types are kinda bad (save for Queens Empoleon, Manaphy and Gastrodon). Thankfully, the amazing Ice-types made up for it.

Its actually doing quite well at the moment. It surprisingly tanks hits and returns with considerable damage. It's only mid game tho so im sure she will struggle later on. Fortunetely she's only filling in for now until i get my original fifth and sixth slot picks.
