Actually, it doesn't. BOtB makes people too scared to make moves because if they lose HoH they can be backdoored, so people only nominate pawns. Yes, they might backdoor later, but then they might not if they lose. Also, it makes people throw competitions more, it makes houseguests know if they are going up, thus eliminating any element of surprise. It's BS.
