People need to realize that no one's going to buy a song just because it's officially the 2nd single.

Dark Horse is a promo single, yes, but it was released over a month ago and has had time to spread out and be more well known to people. Unconditionally was released on radio a week ago with almost no promo or hype (in fact, much less hype than Dark Horse ), and released on itunes a day ago with the album (meaning any hype towards Tuesday was all about PRISM, not Unconditionally). With all this in mind, you still expect it to dominate, or at least be ahead of Dark Horse, just because it's the second single?

If you really feel the need to drag Unconditionally, do it if it hasn't picked up in a few weeks.

I always did like Katy, but with this album I am really impressed with her.
It's such a positive, feel good album. It has the same tone as Teenage Dream, and that's OK because it's still much more mature.
It's not what I was expecting, and I can't say that's a bad thing.

I got my digital and 4 physicals copies! I bought them separately. That way they count as individual sales.

Just ignore them sis. I made one post in HDD thread and never went back. It's so futile. I mean TD opened with 192k and BTW with 1million+. Then Teenage Dream ended up outselling BTW in the US. My point is not to shade Gaga, but just see how the 1st week sales really do not matter. Everyone acts like it's a sporting event or the movie box office results. Longevity is key and Katy has it. Capitol already said they want Prism era to be 2+ years. So let the monsters or any stanbase who want "drag," but really they are focusing on the smaller picture because it's convenient/easy to use it to say Katy can't sell, etc right now

It's best to just ignore them. They've been annoying as hell today, but replying will just make it worse. We don't need everyone in this fan base getting banned with the era just beginning

We'll be fighting through it till then, but what's new? They are failing to put things into perspective.
Selling 100k more than your last album and 300k total is an achievement. Very few people are actually able to pull those numbers nowadays.

I got the ZinePack at Wal-Mart, and the deluxe and HMV exclusive edition were from 2 different HMV's just because I happened to be in another city on Tuesday.

I'm actually happy with the ZinePack because sometimes if there's a standard/deluxe they'll insert the standard with it.

what PRISM has going for it that competing albums don't is the broad range of melodic hooks. That is what Katy's music is all about, and PRISM is smothered in melodies. In the long run, it has great replay value. In every song, all the way to the end of the deluxe version, each one has a moment of Katy magic....the moment in which you're like "yea, this is a good song, too."

As i said on the other thread Katy is all about the music, her songs, her performances and her videos are the only way to sell her albums. She's not like other artists who can sell with controversy or antics, she's not the kind of artist that will leak her sex tape with John for sales or anything like that. 300K people are here for PRISM her fans and the GP is here for Roar so far, as long as she keeps releasing great songs and good videos people will go and buy her album. They did it with OOTB and TD. This is just the beginning.
