Well to be fair
1) it was a three man race in 2008 so his share was more significant but indeed smaller. May also have been more raw votes of the black community for him if there were more people voting in 2008 (there was)
2) Hillary was popular with blacks then too and he still took a humongous lion's share. Bernie, at the moment, is not as popular with blacks as Hill in 2008
But it's still huge nonetheless.

Is there a poll or something I can see? I just find it hard to believe they don't know him when he spent more than 2-1 over Hill in SC and had over 210 staffers with lots of offices and canvassing. Maybe I need to look at how they answered the question.
