Taylor Swift may not be home any more, but adorned in the ruby red slippers she proved she was more than at home in front of 40,000 people at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday.
She seemed a modern-day transformation of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.
And for the soon-to-be 24-year-old, Brisbane resonates as a special place.

Her first Brisbane show - in 2009 at the Tivoli Theatre - was her first taste of the big time.

In front of the sold out crowd, the Grammy Award winning singer shyly admitted she was amazed that “between 50 to 100 people” turned out to see her in 2009.
Now, Swift looks out to a entirely different scene.

Unlike the Justin Bieber or One Direction crowds where there is a noticeable absence of boys and men, Taylor's crowd was an enthusiastic, eclectic mix of boys and girls.
There were thousands of young girls, thousands of young men and boys and plenty of “chaperone dads”, a title bestowed by Australian comedy duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee during an recent interview with Swift.
Perhaps the change of crowd can be attributed to Swift's new pop sound from her 2012 album Red, or perhaps we've grown up with her.
Sold out.
