The lowdown: Though presented as another lullaby to her children, “Brightest Morning Star” once again finds Britney singing uplifting vagueries that call to mind spiritual salvation. Nevertheless, it’s a sweet tribute, pleasantly conveying the joy that Britney’s kids clearly bring to her, especially with that passionate explosion of a chorus. Many fans have compared this song to “My Baby,” but we can all be thankful it’s a lot better than that.

Himeros called it "an embarrassing boring Christmas jingle. I feel her for trying her hardest with those vocal chords but wrong song for doing that, sister!" August was confused. "I remember hating this but like??????????? I love it???? Take that, Blue??!??!?!?" he wrote. "I feel like such an arse giving this a low score but its just kind of blah," admitted lovesong.
Best bit: the clapping bridge hypes up the chorus nicely.

mess, how do you not get the "emotional" aspect of it?! no offense, you probably just don't really understand the depth of the song or analyzed the lyrics. it's a really emotional, deep song!!
"Brightest Morning Star" really grew on me. I initially wrote it off as "Tiny Hands" 2.0, but it's actually a lovely song. Britney sounds great—confident and in command. It deserved to rank higher.
