No one knows ANYTHING about her NADA. Its really weird... I was checking some spanish pop forums and they were talking about how they've done research to find about her and no one could find anything. Even her wiki page (Lynda Thomas) you can look her up and even there they talk about how no one knows anything about her since 2001 when she released her last album and started speaking agains the label and what they wanted her to be/act. She was pretty big like I said she was branded the most important teen singer in Mexico... I watched all her videos and all the youtube comments are people asking what happened to her and they all like omg my childhood!!! and stuff like that. I really think she could've been Shakira's contender in the latin market and even WW since she was planning on releasing an english album then bam she was gone.
Beyoncé is a rare case. Her career is based off MJ and Diana's but her level of fame and the importance of her to our culture is of a DEFINING point. Think Aretha/Elvis. She's actually bigger than Madonna and MJ were in their prime in terms of media power (scary but true). She's not an "icon" of the fame but a soon to be LEGEND of it. Just look at how she's treated amongst artists from her exact era (Brit, Xtina, Usher, etc)
I think had they wanted to do that they would of done it earlier in her career tbh not now. I dont think a Thriller level album is possible right now. even for someone as big as Beyonce. However I agree it seems like they have groomed Bey to be the head hancho
I mean, both artists started their careers out being lead singers in their respective groups. Michael had his "musical comeback" with his fifth album, "Off the Wall", and Beyonce just had her's with her fifth album, "BEYONCE" after everybody was saying she was over, just like everyone was saying Michael was over as soon as he hit puberty.
The reason why it didn't happen with Beyonce sooner, is because it would've been TOO soon. Bey has the power and influence in the industry NOW to create a monumental album, to create her "Thriller".
And if the upcoming sacrifices come into fruition, the industry will most likely use the energies from those sacrifices to give Bey her monumental upcoming era.
I'm just saying. If Adele can sell 30 million albums this decade, then don't count Beyonce out!
Bey will NEVER have an album as big as Thriller. The biggest thing she did was the surprise release of BEYONCE - that left quite an impact in pop culture. I just don't see her being able to pull a classic hit, left alone album like Thriller anymore with the way she sold out and the backlash she received from the GP
She can be the queen of the media, but the people will simply never be here for her like they did for MJ
She's at a higher masonic level than Mj was with Thriller. You have to understand that. Its levels to all of this. Why do you think Michael was BIGGGGGER during Dangerous/History although they failed to sell what Thriller did? She's at the level of POP CULTURE ENIGMA. Think Britneys media coverage and how intense it was even though she hadn't sold 1/10th of her 99 sales.

Interesting take as well. I forgot Mj had 5 albums before Thriller
But they probably don't want Beyoncé to be as big as MJ right? Glamazon you said MJ had too much power and impact so it'd be dangerous for them if Beyoncé was on the same level as him. She could 'wake up" one day and start a rebellion or something.
Her media power is crazy and very creepy. It's like they so want us to love her and worship her.

not gonna lie..as a statistics fan i'd be here for this lol
plus I too forgot he had 5 albums before Thriller
Glamazon, can we please discuss Mimi?
Why was she soooooo astronomically huge for the entirety of the '90s and in 2005?
She owned a decade when most artists are lucky to own 3 months.
Mariah was the industry's songbird supreme. Mk ultra at its finest. All those buuterflies and Marilyn references. Remember her breakdown? When she stripped on TRL. She's had NUMEROUS handlers and her newest one is that billionaire she's with now.
The difference between Bey and Michael is that Mike didn't want anything to do with this...wheras Bey OPENLY admitted she hates that God gave her this talent. She knows what her husband is doing. Like I said..compare her to an Aretha or Elvis instead of Mj or Madonna.
She's alive!! pretty interesting video! it sayd that she was working on a documentary where she'll reveal the truth about what happened and what made her leave the industry and what she's been doing ever since. The producer also talks says she was recording a comeback album but this was in 2013 its been 2 years and we still don't know anything about it.
He says she was going through a lot and decided she wanted live instead of being a celebrity and also interesting they confirmed she did work with RBD/rebelde
If Rih dies, is there huge possibility that she will be replaced by another R&B/popstar? Someone like Tinashe, Zendaya or Natalie La Rose? Those girls are currently bubbling and it looks like they will all have a huge year next year, and with Rih possibly passing away, could one of them replace her? Like Rih kind of replaced Aaliyah?
By the way, does anyone know the tea on Hollywood Records? Is it like a label that grooms little popstars and then passes them to other labels to make them become puppets? That label always seemed to be fishy to me.
Rihannas (if she passes) energy would be used to push forward their agenda by grabbing the spirit energy from millions of people all over the world. Whatever she has planned in Chile for September is gonna give us all the info we need! Pay attention to the visuals she uses. Listen to how she acts.
Also The Weeknd might end up being the biggest male act right after his album comes out. Pay attention to him. They've been keeping him in "incubation" for years. I wonder how Frank Ocean's next album cycle will be.

Bey is a really weird case tho... she feels like she's so much bigger than what she really is. The media treats her like she's still selling as much as Tay's selling for years when in reality she's not. Her ST had impact and was a really smart campaign to elevate her status but she didn't get any huge singles DIL was big but it sold poorly compared to some "huge smashes" and sales weren't even that bad like they are now. I feel like it was more of the startegy release than the actual music. Girls like Katy and Taylor seem less successful when in reality they have been way more than Bey in the 6 years. I mean her last actual smash was what?? Telephone by Gags and Halo(from her own album)??

I think out of all the girls you named Tinashe will be the one to bid hardest for her transfer as the next queen Isis. she has this ambition about her that strikes me as someone who would actually volunteer for this type of stuff.
Yes hollywood record is the biggest child groomers of our time now. they do all the initial ground work and then when its done hand them over to the bigger labels. Hollywood records has been fantastic at obtaining and grooming these stars.
Doesn't anybody find his success...odd? I think he's secretly on a major record label, but they're marketing him as a truly independent artist to give him more appeal. There's NO WAY IN HELL an artist like him would get smash hit singles and awards left, right, and center without ANY major label support. Does anybody else agree? I think he's going to end up being the Eminem of this generation.
