We finally encountered a real upset in the first round of
Oz Division match-ups. #7 "Let It Go" became the first Disney song to suffer defeat, falling to oldie Record of the Year winner
#10 "Days of Wine and Roses". Elsewhere,
#1 "Over the Rainbow" scored the most decisive victory of the competition thus far, completely shutting out #16 "You Light Up My Life," while
#2 "When You Wish Upon a Star" and
#4 "You'll Be In My Heart" turned in equally dominant performances. A trio of #1 hits—
#3 "Take My Breath Away",
#5 "Last Dance" and
#6 "(I've Had) The Time of My Life"—advanced easily. In the battle of rap singles,
#9 "It's Hard Out Here For a Pimp" squeezed past #8 "Glory."

With that, we move on to the
second round of ATRL March Madness, where 32 contenders remain chasing the title of the
gold standard Best Original Song. Incredibly, the top six seeds in every division are still in play, an
unprecedented development in the history of this tournament. (Conversely, not a single #7 seed advanced.) That leaves plenty of Disney songs and power ballads to
fight it out for voters' affections. Check out the updated draw below (or find a larger version
