Perhaps. However ports do change. Remember when our printer, mouse and keyboard had their own ports that had to go into specific slots? Then they became USB and now can go anywhere. I think that as long as there is a physical means of plugging in headphones and other audio cords, they'll be alright. Music is very important to Apple. They're not going to risk alienating all of the musicians that use their products just for some thinness. If they are getting rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack, its replacement will ultimately be better and cause no disruption for users of 3.5mm jacks
